Suqian Museum

Suqian Museum is a cultural relic museum and a national third-level museum. It was completed and opened to the public on May 1, 2014, with an architecture in the imitation of Han style. It is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a patriotism education base in Suqian, and a local comprehensive historical and art museum. The museum covers an area of approximately 7,000 square meters, with a building area of about 15,000 square meters, an exhibition hall area of 6,000 square meters, a cultural relic storage area of 800 square meters, a main exhibition hall area of 2,500 square meters, and an exhibition theme of “The Development History of Suqian Civilization”.

It houses nearly 3,000 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, including 9 pieces (sets) of first-level cultural relics, 30 pieces (sets) of second-level cultural relics, and 113 pieces (sets) of third-level cultural relics. As an important base for promoting regional historical culture, spreading scientific ideas, and promoting scientific culture, the museum takes it as its responsibility to build a science popularization base and promote science popularization culture, and to promote regional characteristic social culture and popularize social sciences. Suqian Museum makes full use of its position advantages and public resources to carry out social science popularization and publicity work, with a focus on launching the “24 Solar Terms Theme” series of brands.

In 2023, Suqian Museum carried out a total of 135 social education activities, including “Our Festivals”, 24 Solar Terms Theme, Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Experience, International Workers’ Day, May 18 International Museum Day, Children’s Day, “Colorful Summer” Series, “Little Docent” Training Class, “Guoxue Zhili” – Learning Traditional Etiquette and Spreading Guoxue Culture Activity, “Museum Knowledge Journey” Summer Camp, Curator Reception Day, Suqian Museum Wonderful Night, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Themes, Double Ninth Festival Theme, School-Museum Cooperation and Co-construction, etc. Among them, 12 activities, such as the “Museum Night” Activity of Touhu and Mushi Grain Painting, Curator Reception Day Activity, Painting Peking Opera Facial Makeup Activity, Summer Night Tour of the Museum Sketching Activity of Museum Wonderful Night, National Day Paper-cutting Theme Activity, School-Museum Cooperation and Co-construction Activity, etc., were reported by the “Chufeng Night Talk” program of Suqian Comprehensive Channel and Su News.
